Nottm Forest Ladies 1-2 Wolverhampton Women

Venue: Hucknall Rolls Leisure Complex, Watnall Road, Hucknall, Notts

Competition: Women's Premier League Northern Division

Scorers:

Forest - Andrea Bell (18)
Wolves - Leanne Rimmer (6), Danielle Selmes (24)

The teams observed a minutes silence prior to kick-off.

Second placed Forest entertained bottom of the table Wolverhampton Wanderers Women, and to be honest, were well beaten. Sheffield Ladies won 5-0 at Preston, securing the league title. Forest need to start winning again if they are to secure the runner-up spot ahead of Stoke City Ladies.

Andrea Bell had a great chance to open the scoring for the Reds in the first minute, but dragged her shot wide of the post.

Wolves took the lead in the 6th minute, a corner from the left found LEANNE RIMMER just outside the area, and the left back calmly lofted the ball over the outstretched arms of Reds' keeper Vanessa Kinnerley.

ANDREA BELL made up for her early miss on 18, firing across  Wolves keeper Natalie Hall from just inside the box, to level the scores.

Parity lasted only 6 minutes though, DANI SELMES flicking the ball over a defender before delicately lobbing Kinnerley. H-T 1-2

Not much to say about the second half - Forest tried to get back into the game, but the visiting defence stood firm and the Black Country team collected only their fourth leadue win of the season. F-T 1-2
