Heanor Town 0-3 Worksop Parramore

Venue: The Town Ground, Heanor, Derbyshire.

Competition: NCEL Premier Division

Scorers: Nathan Forbes (9, 23) Sam Smith (37)

I think Heanor Town will probably want to erase this game from memory - they were awful. Add to this that Parramore are in the title hunt and look a very, very competent outfit, there was only going to be one outcome - a Heanor defeat.

I suppose playing only 48 hours ago and also being without influential skipper Nick Hall could have contributed to the poor showing, but there is no getting away from it, this was not the kind of performance we have come to expect from the Lions when we visit the TG.

That it was only 3-0 on the night can be put down to Heanor raising their game slightly and Parramore moving down a couple of gears in the second half.

The first goal came in the 9th minute - a superb free-kick from 20 yards from NATHAN FORBES that flew right into the top corner and beat Heanor keeper Mark Frost all ends up.

The second on 23, was also direct from a free-kick and also from FORBES, but this one was arrow straight, dead centre of goal. I think Frost will be slightly disappointed that he didn't manage to get his hands to the effort and see it safely over the bar.

After 37 minutes, the game was over for Town, as neat ball through the middle found SAM SMITH. He ran in one-on-one with Frost before lofting the ball over the exposed keeper and into the back of the net. H-T 0-3

The rest of the game was a little light on entertainment, although as mentioned earlier, the Lions did raise their game slightly, but rarely troubled Parramore keeper Steve Hernanadez. F-T 0-3
